Botanical name: Hosta spp. (mixed hybrid varieties)
These heirloom mixed hosta seeds develop into hardy, clump-forming perennials (12-36 inches tall and wide) with bold, heart-shaped leaves and spikes of lavender or white bell-shaped flowers in midsummer, attracting hummingbirds while providing excellent ground cover and slug resistance in mature plants.
Light requirements: Partial to full shade; tolerates filtered morning sun but prefers protection from hot afternoon rays to avoid leaf scorch.
